•November 16, 2006 • 3 CommentsWell this is the idea…I am working on a theory that everyone does this.
Does what? Talk to Themselves…
I think the chatter going on is probably deafening and I want to provide this Web log to serve as a forum for that activity.
I certainly can not be alone in this can I?
Leave me a comment and lets start a dialogue on the what and why so we can better understand this phenomena.
WordPress.com a good idea?
•November 16, 2006 • Leave a CommentSo I don’t know if this WordPress.com account was a good idea, it isn’t very friendly and it is having server maintainance every other half hour, what is that about? Is this the old… you get what you pay for deal? Maybe so… my Typepad accounts never barfed up at all and the layout and hidden motions are a pain…
This may become I am talking to myself because WordPress drove me to it…

Take this snippet I found from doing a Google search on the topic of Talking to Oneself:
Talking To Yourself
In old movies, if you wanted to show that someone was really crazy
you’d show them talking to themselves.
Even if they were only doing it mentally,
it was supposed to be a sure sign of mental illness.
What’s really bizarre about this is that the act of talking to ourselves
is actually a sign that we are self-aware
and that we seek insight into our own actions.
Talking to ourselves mentally is actually a hallmark of being human
and proof that we are a higher species.
WE ALL DO IT
We all have mental conversations with ourselves.
Self-talk is so constant that meditation groups, relaxation tapes, and self-help books
focus on just trying to get us to be able to
stop all the self-talk for a few seconds of deep relaxation.
But, in a sense, we can measure our degree of psychological pain
by checking out our self-talk.
It’s not whether we do it,
it’s what we say to ourselves that matters.

So you see? It is a good thing. Nothing to be alarmed about.
